Immediate need for an experienced Millwright for a “direct-hire” permanent opportunity. The primary purpose of the Millwright is to ensure the facility machinery is efficiently maintained to optimize production. You will also assist in the installation of new production equipment.

Responsibilities for the Millwright / Maintenance Mechanic position includes:

  • Visually inspects and listens to machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions.

  • Dismantles machines & equipment to gain access to the problem area.

  • Inspects & measures parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems.

  • Removes and replaces worn or defective parts of the drive mechanism, or hydraulic system.

  • Realigns & adjusts components. This may include spindles and clutches.

  • Installation of new production equipment and machines.

  • Troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment

  • Complete scheduled Preventative Maintenance tasks

  • Work with Electricians to quickly and efficiently solve problems

  • Adhere to all safety procedures and PPE requirements including ability to fit test and wear a half mask respirator

Qualifications for the Millwright / Maintenance Mechanic position includes:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus at least a minimum of 3-5 years related millwright , mechanical, electrical installation, conveyor maintenance and repair experience is required.

  • Troubleshooting experience with commercial or industrial electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment is required.

  • Allen Bradly or Siemens PLC experience is preferred.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, & documents such as instructions, procedure manuals and the ability to write routine reports or correspondence is required

  • Certification in at least one of the following areas: Millwright, toolmaker and machine tool builder is preferred.

  • Fabricating & Machining experience required

  • Industrial Oven and/or HVAC experience an asset

  • Forklift, high reach, overhead crane equipment maintenance experience is required.

  • Comfortable working at heights

  • Competent with MIG & Stick welding

  • All tools and a box are provided
